It would also see the introduction of Dave Grohl to the band as drummer joining Krist Novoselic on bass, and the iconic and troubled Kurt Cobain who was front man, guitarist, and songwriter for the band. While it was Nirvanas second album, it would be their first on a major label. ![]() Spencer, now 30, said he has suffered “lifelong damages” after he was featured as a baby on the album cover. The album that would bring grunge into the mainstream is Nevermind by Nirvana. “Defendants used child pornography depicting Spencer as an essential element of a record promotion scheme commonly utilised in the music industry to get attention, wherein album covers posed children in a sexually provocative manner to gain notoriety, drive sales, and garner media attention, and critical reviews,” the lawsuit further reads. “Defendants intentionally commercially marketed Spencer’s child pornography and leveraged the shocking nature of his image to promote themselves and their music at his expense,” lawsuit obtained by Variety read.
